The Flaming Lips with Neon Indian

Months ago Wayne Coyne, as well the rest of The Flaming Lips; Met with Alan Palomo head of Neon Indian. To make this EP entitled The Flaming Lips with Neon Indian. The album seems to be a dark experiment of both bands. That opens with the song Is David Bowie Dying? Among other three songs this rare and limited jewel makes the EP belongs in any good music collection by now check the opening song that I just mention.

To finalize I must said that this album requires Patience to listen it. It's not something you would expect from these bands since it's only experimental music.

Today I was listen some music, while suddenly a song pops out in my iTunes. For those who are familiar with Calvin Harris, known which song I'm talking about. The song was Acceptable In The 80's. As I was listening the song, I thought about the music from the eighties. Now Eighties music it's one of my favorite music decades. Coffee and Cigarettes

Coffee and Cigarettes, a movie that I really love. That has an underground VIP cast, wonderful music, intelligent comedy, as well comedy based on uncomfortable situations. The movie is directed by Jim Jarmusch, this black & white film. Based mostly on conversions: Such as caffeine, the uses of nicotine as insecticide, medical knowledge, and always the suggestion that coffee and cigarettes don't make a healthy meal. Coffee and Cigarettes it’s really a minimalistic movie, without any type of action. That probably people without any interest in indie cinema will like at all. Nevertheless if you're expecting to see something different; this is the kind of movie you been looking for. They are eleven vignettes on the film; the first three vignettes of the film are made in different years, and the rest are made in 2003. As the movie goes, we can see the joys and addictions of life can have. Any doubt about the film well here is the trailer, anyway go check the movie, tell me what you think about? did you like it? did you hate it? do you like watching musicians acting? Such as GZA, RZA, Tom Waits, Iggy Pop, The White Stripes.

If you have find Jim Jarmusch, work fascinating. I recommend to watch Dead Man, his most acclaimed movie.

To conclude my post I leave you people with a song, which it's part of the soundtrack of the movie. Eric "Monty" Morris - Enna Bella.

Hunter S. Thompson My Biggest Influence

Craziness can be the worst enemy of people, nevertheless can be the best Allied. That happen With the Gonzo Journalist, Hunter S. Thompson. A freak by nature, a drug-addict by hobby, and a genius writer for others. To me it's just one of the most interesting persons I have know in the history of literature. He is most known for his book Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Which First appear in November, 1971 as a two part series article, to the Rolling Stone Magazine. It is written as first person by a journalist named Raoul Duke. Pseudonym which was best know for. Along with his 300-pound Samoan attorney Dr. Gonzo. Who really was the El Pasoan attorney as well Chicano civil activist Oscar Zeta Acosta. During the trip to Las Vegas to cover a narcotics officer convention. Raoul (Thompson) and his companion (Acosta) decide to search for the American dream, and what better place than Las Vegas to find it. Nevertheless they weren't alone, They were in the company of two bags of grass, seventy-five pallets of mescaline, five sheets of  high- powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers (pills)... and also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls (poppers).

Luckily for those who are lazy to read, in 1998 there was released a film based on the book. starring for no one else than Johnny Deep and Benicio del Toro. Here's the poster of the movie as well the trailer.

Here is a song that most of you people will know. Since a long time ago, which it's part of the soundtrack.

People always asked, me how an acid feels as well if I got a connect. Honestly I don't what to tell them; Until know that I got the answer for this question.

In conclusion Hunter S. Thompson can be: a freak, a drug-addict, or a genius. Nevertheless he always will be my biggest influence. A person who just want to have good time.

Neon Desert Music Festival Tomorrow!

The Neon Desert Music Festival, it's the first festival of his kind here in El Paso TX. A festival who invites English speakers as well Spanish  speakers to go. Also by having a live art show with eleven artists. Having eclectic bands with different music genres, that goes from: electro, house, syth-pop, indie, funk, alternative, progressive, Latin music, and Mexican folk. Also by having bands as well DJ'S from Canada, USA, Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, and England. To be honest almost every band as well DJ'S; have already come to El Paso or Juarez, nevertheless it's going to be an amazing experience having all playing together in a single festival. The NDMF starts at 11:00 am to 11:00 pm, which in opinion starts too early. However it's going to be awesome to meet new people, see your buddies, or the girl you want to date.

One band which I cant't wait to see, it's Cigarettes After Sex. A local band here from El Paso, which have a sound of synth-pop.

As well as MSTRKRFT a well known DJ duo from Canada. This is the fourth time that MSTRKRFT comes to Juarez and El Paso. Which always end as a good night.

I'm going to be dancing like this, when they start his DJ set. (Please note that's a Oh Snap remix, not the original song)

One of most wanted acts to see. It's the Brazilian band CSS (Cansei de Ser Sexy). Which it's their first time,  here in El Paso.

CSS - Rat Is Dead by subpop

You can download this song!

Probably the most anticipated act of the festival, The Omar Rodriguez Lopez Group.which I look forward to see.

And also the one hit wonder British DJ trio Dirty Vegas.

In conclusion the Neon Desert Music Festival. It's going to be amazing, if you didn't make it to Coachella or the SXSW. Especially if you live close from El Paso.
