Metronomy - The English Riviera

It's been a while without any post. Anyway today I decided to post Metronomy - The English Riviera. With in comparison with the last album (Nights Out 2008), this album it's more rhythmically soft, slow as well less aggressive. This is probably that since the departure of Gabriel Stebbing in 2009 (keyboards and bass guitar). Now these guys are a quartet featuring Anna Prior on drums and bassist Gbenga Adelekan. They both were former musicians in the band Lightspeed Champion. The English Riviera probably will be one of best albums of 2011 (In my opinion of course). Besides the song The Looks, one of the coolest song in the album it's Everything Goes My Way featuring in vocals Anna Prior. The album contains eleven tracks of wonderful soft melodic pop; that should be in your summer playlist, like always you can download the album on link below. For now enjoy one of the singles of the album The Looks.

Memoryhouse - The Years EP

Memoryhouse it's a music duo from Ontario Canada, formed by Evan Abeele and Denise Nouvion. Evan which studied formal composition in school it's the person behind the music. Denise the singer of the duo also carries the responsibility of the artwork of the band, since she studied photography in school. The name of the band comes from the classical-minimalistic musician Max Richter first solo album Memoryhouse. The sound of the band sounds like lo-fi as well ambient. The band has just released one EP by the moment titled The Years among some remixes, and two other original songs. At the moment the band it's working on his coming LP Looms of Youth. To conclude I leave you the first single of the album which it's called Lately, as always you can download the album on the next link below.

Tracklist
01. Sleep Patterns
02. Lately
03. The Waves

The Flaming Lips with Neon Indian

Months ago Wayne Coyne, as well the rest of The Flaming Lips; Met with Alan Palomo head of Neon Indian. To make this EP entitled The Flaming Lips with Neon Indian. The album seems to be a dark experiment of both bands. That opens with the song Is David Bowie Dying? Among other three songs this rare and limited jewel makes the EP belongs in any good music collection by now check the opening song that I just mention.

To finalize I must said that this album requires Patience to listen it. It's not something you would expect from these bands since it's only experimental music.

Million Young - Replicants

Mike Diaz the man behind Million Young has released his new album title Replicants. I in the personal love the two EP's of Million Young; they were released in these two last years Sunndreamm (2009) Be So True (2010). The album sounds slightly different in comparison with the two last EP's, nevertheless the differences of this album makes an interesting acquisition for your library. If you're not familiar with Million Young work, you should give it a try. For now check my favorite song from his first EP Sunndreamm titled Youthless.

It Was Acceptable In The 80's (A Top Ten of Songs From The Eighties)

Today I was listen some music, while suddenly a song pops out in my iTunes. For those who are familiar with Calvin Harris, known which song I'm talking about. The song was Acceptable In The 80's. As I was listening the song, I thought about the music from the eighties. Now Eighties music it's one of my favorite music decades. Nevertheless the eighties has the more variety in music genres, it has: heavy metal, hard rock, hard core, glam-metal, alternative rock (now mostly called "indie"), new wave, synthpop, hip hop also the beginning of techno as well house music for those who don't know. Eighties music it's stuck in my head in any way or other, So here I have my Top Ten Eighties Music which are the ones that I enjoyed the most, if you have an opinion about it please let me know.

Coffee and Cigarettes

Coffee and Cigarettes, a movie that I really love. That has an underground VIP cast, wonderful music, intelligent comedy, as well comedy based on uncomfortable situations. The movie is directed by Jim Jarmusch, this black & white film. Based mostly on conversions: Such as caffeine, the uses of nicotine as insecticide, medical knowledge, and always the suggestion that coffee and cigarettes don't make a healthy meal. Coffee and Cigarettes it’s really a minimalistic movie, without any type of action. That probably people without any interest in indie cinema will like at all. Nevertheless if you're expecting to see something different; this is the kind of movie you been looking for. They are eleven vignettes on the film; the first three vignettes of the film are made in different years, and the rest are made in 2003. As the movie goes, we can see the joys and addictions of life can have. Any doubt about the film well here is the trailer, anyway go check the movie, tell me what you think about? did you like it? did you hate it? do you like watching musicians acting? Such as GZA, RZA, Tom Waits, Iggy Pop, The White Stripes.

If you have find Jim Jarmusch, work fascinating. I recommend to watch Dead Man, his most acclaimed movie.

To conclude my post I leave you people with a song, which it's part of the soundtrack of the movie. Eric "Monty" Morris - Enna Bella.
