Neon Indian - Era Extraña (2011)

Alan Palomo it's back! With a new album entitled Era Extraña (Strange Era Or She was Strange, depending of the context). With a new sound with more maturity, nonetheless his dazzling synth patterns continues to sound as good as always. Another big addition that Neon Indian apply to this record was the arcade samples of the 8-bit era. The album was released on September 13, 2011. In contrast of his first album Psychic Chasmswhich was recorded in the United States. This album was recorded in the chill winter of Helsinki, Finland. And produced by Dave Fridmann who also produced almost every album of The Flaming Lips. Era Extraña's second single it's Polish Girl directed by Tim Mackashi, and produced in collaboration with The Creators Project, Neon Indian, and Mom + Pop Music.

To conclude I must say that Era Extraña it's an album that deserves more attention, nonetheless so far has been receive positive reviews as well some neutral reviews. One of most shocking reviews was the Pitchfork review that gave it an score of 7.9 and some unfair comparisons.

(While you are reading this listen to this song)  As a young age; I've been listening rock, as well a lot of his variations. I was never interested in Hip Hop or anything similar, till the moment I meet the underground hip hop. A sub-genre of hip hop with a different message as well the music more often accompanied with Jazz, Soul, Funk, and even Rock. Now I totally love this genre and to show my love, I decided to make a Top Ten of my favorite Hip Hop tracks. ENJOY!

10.- Mos Def ft. Q-Tip - Mr Nigga  (1999)

Mr. Nigga a song from the album Black on Both Sides.  He plays the congas, among other percussion's in the song. A song that probably people who are not into Hip Hop, will be feel offended by title of the song. Nevertheless if you given a listen or reading to the lyric you will find a message that it's very truth. Another fact about Mos Def it's that he's an actor. Starring the 2008 Movies Be Kind Rewind and Cadillac Records.

Movie Recommendation - The Royal Tenenbaums (2001)

The Royal Tenenbaums it's a comedy drama film directed by Wes Anderson and co-written by Owen Wilson. It stars Wilson along with his brother Luke Wilson. Among a cast of great actors such as: Danny Glover, Gene Hackmen, Anjelica Houston, Bill Murray, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Ben Stiller. Probably people who don't know who Wes Anderson is will think that it's a regular comedy film. Nonetheless the warm as well unusual colour palette makes a rich and emotional aspect with detailing the movie. The photography it's another great aspect in the movie which you can see below.

The movie starts with Alec Baldwin narrating the whole movie in a tragic as well poetic way.  Royal Tenenbaum (Gene Hackmeen) the father of three gifted children Chas (Ben Stiller) Margot (Gwyneth Paltrow) and Richie (Luke Wilson). Start explaining that he's going to divorced to her wife Etheline (Anjelica Houston), Soon after the explanation we receive the presentation of the three sons Chas a math and business genius from whom royal steals money. Margot the adopted daughter of the family, which has been awarded a 50.000 Braverman grant for a play she wrote in ninth grade. Richie a tennis virtuoso and artist who express his love to her adopted sister by making paints of her.

Twenty-two years later their lives of greatness are now doom. Chas has loss his wife in an airplane crash. The only survivors were their sons Ari and Uzi, which since that day he has been overprotecting to his sons. Margot is married to a neurologist named Raleigh St. Clair (Bill Murray). She hides her smoking and mostly her whole past for him. Richie is traveling the world on a cruise ship around the world after a breakdown. He writes a letter to Eli (Owen Wilson), telling him that he's in love with her sister Margot. Royal since the divorce to her wife, he's been living in a hotel after twenty-two years. He has been kicked out from the hotel he has living after the divorce. Royal have elaborate a plan to move to his old house; by telling his family that he has stomach cancer, in order to win his family as well. After this and other situations the whole family has move to the Tenenbaum house. Here is the trailer you can make a fair opinion about the film.

To conclude I just said that if you haven't seen it go and rent the movie buy or download it's a must see film
to all the people who are into indie cinema. Now just enjoy and relax with Ruby Tuesday by The Rolling Stones, which belong to the Soundtrack of the movie.

The Third Twin - Homemade (2010)

As most people known T.T.T. (The Third Twin), were pretty famous for supposedly being Daft Punk, as a side project to release the "real" soundtrack of the movie Tron to avoid legal repercussion. Something that really makes me laugh it's that if you search on you tube; now they're more ridiculous theories. That it's really Justice other theory said that it's Deamou5 among others. Well the new rumor said that they are really the twin nephews of Guy-Manuel de Homen-Christo, since there names are Yvan and Virgil de Homen Christo. Another thing to add it's that instead of adding the robot concept of his image they add an alien concept to his image. It can be notice for example in the track number ten entitled Arecibo's Song. For those who don't know that's the name of a famous radio telescope located in Puerto Rico. Most people got the rumor as I think; because of the name of the album Homemade something that I probably assume that it's just simply for the reason that it's really made in his home you can notice that for low fidelity of the whole album as well as a tribute for Daft Punk. To conclude the post I would like to said that this duo deserve a little more reputation based on his music not on rumors I think they're going to be playing in a lot of places later on for now just listen to his son Americ Family. The T.T.T. support free music you can download the songs separate in last.fm.

Metronomy - The English Riviera

It's been a while without any post. Anyway today I decided to post Metronomy - The English Riviera. With in comparison with the last album (Nights Out 2008), this album it's more rhythmically soft, slow as well less aggressive. This is probably that since the departure of Gabriel Stebbing in 2009 (keyboards and bass guitar). Now these guys are a quartet featuring Anna Prior on drums and bassist Gbenga Adelekan. They both were former musicians in the band Lightspeed Champion. The English Riviera probably will be one of best albums of 2011 (In my opinion of course). Besides the song The Looks, one of the coolest song in the album it's Everything Goes My Way featuring in vocals Anna Prior. The album contains eleven tracks of wonderful soft melodic pop; that should be in your summer playlist, like always you can download the album on link below. For now enjoy one of the singles of the album The Looks.
